Privacy Policy
Effective 30 July 2026 · the operator of Queen Central ("we", "us")
A plain-language note: this document was prepared as a template and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It reflects how the service genuinely works, and we hold ourselves to it — but if you need certainty for a contract or a dispute, ask us and we'll get you a signed copy.
Queen Central is a live-events games platform: a host runs big-screen games and the room plays along from their phones. We built it to need as little personal information as possible, and this page lists all of it. We are an Australian service and handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
If you're a player in the room
You don't create an account, and we don't ask for your email. To play, you scan a QR code and type a display name — that's the entire sign-up. While a game runs we hold:
- the display name you typed (make one up if you like);
- your answers, votes and score for that game;
- a random identifier stored in your browser, so if your phone locks mid-game you come back as yourself and not as a new player.
Game data is short-lived. A finished or abandoned game is deleted from our servers after about six hours of inactivity. We don't build player profiles, we don't track you across games or sites, and we don't sell or share player data with anyone. The sound and the show run in your browser; your phone sends us nothing except what you tap.
If you're a host or venue with an account
Accounts are created by us, for venues and hosts we work with. For an account we hold your name, email address and a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash), plus anything you add yourself: a venue logo shown on the big screen, host photos, and custom question packs. We also record which games you run and when, because plans are metered per game.
If you register your interest
The register-interest form asks for your name, your organisation or venue, your email, roughly when your first event is, and an optional note. We use it to reply to you and to decide onboarding order — that's all. It also sends a one-line alert to our own phones so you're not left waiting. If you'd like your registration deleted, email us and it's gone.
We send transactional email (confirmations, account set-up, session links you asked for) from digitaldiva@queencentral.app. Replies to that address may be answered by an AI assistant for general questions about the product; anything involving bookings, money, complaints or anything sensitive is handed to a human. We don't run marketing lists, and nothing here signs you up to one.
Services we rely on
Like nearly every web product, we run on other companies' infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf, only to run the service:
- Railway — application hosting. Servers may be located in the United States, which means the data above can be stored there.
- AgentMail — sending and receiving our email.
- Anthropic — if a host uses the "generate questions with AI" feature, the topic they type is sent to Anthropic's API to write the pack. Player data is not sent to any AI provider.
- Google Fonts — pages load typefaces from Google's servers, which sees your IP address like any web request.
- Telegram — internal alerts to our own team (for example, a new registration of interest). Only what you put in the form is in the alert.
We don't run advertising or cross-site analytics trackers.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep hosts signed in, and browser local storage to remember a player's place in a game and small preferences like a sound toggle. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
Access, correction and complaints
Email digitaldiva@queencentral.app to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — for players there is usually nothing left to delete within hours. If you believe we've mishandled your information and we can't resolve it with you, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the effective date above. The current version always lives at https://queencentral.app/privacy.
