The room joins with their names, you lock the doors, and the questions get harder every round β€” 90% of people get the first one, 1% get the last. Get it wrong and you're out. Everyone has one pass. It runs until there's one queen standing.

Last Queen Standing: how it works

The whole room enters, the doors lock, and the questions get harder every round β€” estimated 90%-to-1% difficulty levels. Answer wrong and you're out. Everyone has one pass. It runs until there's one queen standing.

Hosting it

  1. Create a game from /lastqueen, then load a question pack β€” a built-in starter, an AI-generated set, one you wrote in the admin Question Bank, or a JSON question-set file uploaded straight into the console (multiple-choice or type-in, with pictures if you want). Order them so they get harder as they go.
  2. Contestants join with their names. When you're ready, LOCK THE DOORS β€” after that nobody else can get in.
  3. Ask each question in turn. They get harder as you go (estimated 90%-to-1% difficulty levels).
  4. Answers lock when the clock runs out. Check the marking β€” you can overrule any answer by hand before you reveal, so a typo doesn't end someone's night.
  5. Reveal: anyone wrong is eliminated, unless they spent their one pass. Keep going until you crown whoever's left standing.
  6. The main game still declares exactly one winner. Friendly mode remains a separate, less prestigious side game; these security and recovery changes do not change its ranking or the main final rules.
  7. A restart preserves friendly mode and the final state. Running reading and answer deadlines continue through the interruption; if the answer deadline has passed, answers return locked. Restore a player after a question is revealed, before declaring the winner.
  8. Difficulty percentages are estimates, not population statistics. Logic Ladder supplies a complete 90%-to-1% reasoning ladder; preview its answers and explanations before the event. The main game still ends as soon as exactly one winner remains.
  9. Correct main-game answers retain their inverse-difficulty points for the secondary game. Passes earn none. Eliminated players can answer played final questions when friendly mode is on, while the main tie/reprieve and single-winner rules remain unchanged.

Playing it

  1. Scan the QR and put your name in BEFORE the host locks the doors β€” once they're shut, you're not getting in.
  2. Answer each question on your phone: tap an option, or type your answer.
  3. The questions get harder as you go. Get one wrong and you're out.
  4. You get ONE pass for the whole game. Spend it on a question you don't know and you survive it, right or wrong.
  5. Last queen standing wins.
  6. Use the same browser to keep your private reconnect key and return to your place after a refresh. Public player names and IDs cannot claim someone else’s seat.
